The GSL/Intense Stage 3 Gated Turbo is designed for maximum airflow, sustained boost and strong top-end performance from the Toyota LandCruiser 70 Series 4.5L 1VD-FTV.

Developed for higher-output performance builds, the Stage 3 features upgraded internal components with increased compressor and turbine efficiency. This allows the turbocharger to continue pulling through the upper rev range where smaller or response-focused turbochargers begin to run out of airflow.

The Stage 3 is suited to customers chasing maximum power from a factory-location gated-turbo system, particularly when combined with upgraded injectors, a high-flow intake system, front-mount intercooler and custom dyno tuning.

Installation and Tuning

Professional installation and custom dyno tuning are required. The factory VNT control strategy, boost control, fuelling, airflow calibration and engine-protection settings must be configured for the gated-turbo conversion.

At the published torque potential, the clutch, gearbox and complete driveline must be inspected and matched to the intended output. Supporting modifications may include a heavy-duty clutch, upgraded gearbox components and driveline reinforcement.

The engine oil and filter must be replaced during installation. The turbocharger oil supply and drain, intake system, intercooler, exhaust system and crankcase ventilation system must also be inspected for contamination, restrictions or leaks.
